This drum is a must for high powered vehicles using the GM2004R transmission.This custom drum assembly eliminates shaft breakage common with the 2004R transmission installed behind engines producing over 300 foot pounds of torque.The stock shaft is removed from the clutch drum on a CNC mill. A second milling operation machines the drum  to accept the new shaft. The replacement E4340  steel billet shaft is the product of an 8 step CNC turning,drilling,and splining  process. The shaft is then heat treated and welded into the drum.This item has been tested in vehicles producing over 800 foot pounds of torque with absolutely no signs of distress.This item is always in stock,guaranteed.Manufactured in the U.S.A. with U.S.A. components.

The factory  thrust washer installed between the center support and overdrive internal gear lacks durability and thrust surface area. This precision machined center support is outfitted with a needle bearing assembly that replace the thrust washer. This bearing reduces internal friction and horsepower loss created and consumed during normal internal component rotation. It also increases the thrust surface area between rotating components.There is no core core charge on this part.Also,this package includes a modified overdrive clutch piston that allows the use of  3 clutches in the pack instead of 2.

HIGH FLOW FILTER AND SUMP EXTENSION KIT #24RCC/HFFK                        $89.99
The stock 2004R filter assembly has its oil pickup pointing away from the oil pan  and "sandwiched" between the valve body .Because of this oil pickup  from the sump is severely restricted.When you combine this with a fast accellerating car  or aggressive driving the oil moves away from the pick up causing cavitation,aeration and loss of oil pressure that causes transmission failures.Our upgrade uses a filter that picks up oil from the bottom of the pan keeping the oil pick up point submergerged in transmission fluid under hard accelleration and aggressive driving eliminating the failurtes associated with the stock filter.The new filter has a much larger surface area improving oil filtering and reduces loss of oil volume under high demand operating conditions.Because the filter is slightly larger a pan spacer is included to restore proper geometry.A pipe fitting is also included to allow the 4th gear pressure switch to be offset so it doesnt interfere with the larger filter assembly.Longer bolts are included to accomodate the spacer.Includes premium FARPAK pan gaskets.ALL PARTS ARE MANUFACTURED IN THE U.S.A.
