GMTH350 GENERAL TRANSMISSION INFORMA
TION

The GM TH350 transmission was standard equiptment in GM medium duty cars, trucks, and vans throughout the 70,s and 80,s.The standard gear ratios are 2.52:1 ,1.52:1 , and 1:1 .It has proven itself to be a reliable performer on the street and dragstrip with the proper modifications. Our research has identified the hard parts and calibration issues that cause transmission failures. Corrections have been made in the form of E4340 steel billet parts and revised hydraulic calibration.We can also fabricate custom adapters to use the TH350 behind various Import engines for competition usage .These include the Mazda 13B,Toyota 5MG,and Nissan RB26 engines.Please contact us regarding all custom applications. .Heavy duty "stock" rebuilds are also available upon request.Be sure to specify engine and output shaft type when ordering.


HEAVY DUTY/HIGH PERFORMANCE STREET TH350
This transmission is built for most  naturally aspirated engines producing up to 400 horsepower /400 foot pounds of torque.Applications include towing,circle track,rock crawlers,and mild street cars.It is also available with a 2.72/1.54 planetary gearset for extra torque multiplication in 1st and 2nd gears. Shift feel is custom tailored to your application.Shift points for automatic shift units are also custom tailored to match the engines torque curve and rpm range.





TAGE 2 TH350 TRANSMISSION

The Stage 2 TH350 transmission is built for engines producing up to1000 horsepower/1200 foot pounds torque. FEATURES CK PERFORMANCE EXCLUSIVE OVERSIZE 36 ELEMENT SPRAG AND DRUM ASSEMBLY,E4340 OVERSIZE STEEL BILLET INPUT SHAFT AND REINFORCED DRUM ASSEMBLY AND CUSTOM E4340 STEEL BILLET OUTPUT SHAFT.
 

STAGE 1 TH350 TRANSMISSION

The Stage 1 TH350 transmission is built for high performance,street/strip and competition vehicles  with naturally aspirated engines producing up to 550 foot pounds of torque.Each transmission is professionally assembled and given a thorough road test in our test vehicle to ensure flawless performance prior to shipping.Be sure to check out our custom gear ratio and lock up torque converter package under “Optional Equipment”.

Heavy duty direct clutch drum outfitted with oversize unbreakable 36 element sprag assembly and spiral lock ring.Heat treated intermediate sprag outer race.Stress reieved input shaft and drum assembly.Heavy duty sun shell.Oversize direct clutch drum bushing.Sun gear with 4 bushings.Oversize lo roller clutch assembly.Rollerized  lo race,sun shell and pump cover.

CLUTCH AND BAND UPGRADES
Clutch packs are modified for maximum capacity.5 forward,5 direct,5 lo reverse and 3 intermediate clutches.New intermediate band.

HYDRAULIC UPGRADES
Increased line and lubrication pressures. Dual feed direct clutch triples clutch apply pressure.Low clutch apply in first gear for instant transbrake setup.Custom calibrated valve body and governer assembly for street applications.New factory pan and high flow filter.

This option utilizes a torque converter with triple disk lock up clutch.When applied,the clutch eliminates the slippage present in the converters fluid coupling .This allows the flywheel and transmission input shaft to be locked together (rotate at the same rpm)for faster et and mph.This is a custom multi disk lock up converter
