GMTH350 GENERAL TRANSMISSION INFORMA
TION

Our  research has  identified the hard parts and calibration issues that cause transmission failures and corrected them in the form of E4340 steel billet parts and revised hydraulic calibrations.The GM TH350 transmission was standard equiptment in GM medium duty cars, trucks, and vans throughout the 70,s and 80,s.The standard gear ratios are 2.52:1 ,1.52:1 , and 1:1 .It has proven itself to be a reliable performer on the street and dragstrip with the proper modifications.  The stock cases will mate to Chevrolet,Buick,Oldsmobile,Pontiac and Cadillac engines.It is available with a 6",9",or 12" extension housing.The 6" is the most common.When ordering be sure to specify the proper extension housing length for your application.We also make custom adapters to use the TH350 behind various Import engines for competition usage .These include the Mazda 13B,Toyota 5MG,and Nissan RB26 engines.Please contact us regarding all custom applications.Be sure to check out our custom gear ratio and lock up torque converter package under “Optional Equipment” .

The Stage 1 TH350 transmission is built for engines producing up to 400 foot pounds of torque.

STAGE 2 TH350 TRANSMISSION
The Stage 2 TH350 transmission is built for engines producing up to 750 foot pounds of torque,OR 1200 horsepower/1000 foot pounds of torque if you add our CUSTOM OVERSIZE E4340 STEEL BILLET INPUT SHAFT AND DRUM ASSEMBLY ($329.00),and our CUSTOM E4340 STEEL BILLET OUTPUT SHAFT ($449.00).

Heat treated intermediate sprag outer race with spiral lock ring.Heavy duty sun shell.Oversize direct clutch drum bushing.Sun gear with 4 bushings.

HYDRAULIC UPGRADES
Increased line and lubrication pressures. Dual feed direct clutch triples clutch apply pressure.Custom calibrated valve body and governer assembly.New factory pan and high flow filter

This option utilizes a torque converter with a lock up clutch.When applied,the clutch eliminates the slippage present in the converters fluid coupling .This allows the flywheel and transmission input shaft to be locked together (rotate at the same rpm)for faster et and mph.

#350GSA 2.70 / 1.52 custom ratio planetary gear set.                             $449.00
This gear set is used to increase torque multiplication/rotating speed in the transmission in first and second gears. This improves acceleration with heavy vehicles and numerically low final drive ratios. (IE: 3.23, 3.42, 3.73) .
