COMPETITION TH400 TRANSMISSIONS
 
Our base COMPETITION TH400 is built for engines producing up to 800 hp/800 lbs. ft. and vehicles weighing up to 4000 lbs.By adding one of our various "UPGRADE PACKAGES", it can be built up to handle over 2000 hp/2000 lbs.ft .If you have a special application or your power level exceeds the 800 hp/800 lbs. ft. rating simply select the reccomended update package for your application and add it to the build up.All of our transmission,regardless of power output,are assembled with maximum capacity clutch packs and needle bearing updates. Be sure to check out our custom gear ratio options below for special applications.All transmissions receive thorough dyno testing before leaving our facility to guarantee a quality product is sent out to our customers.
COMPETITION COMPONENTS
Heavy duty 4L80E direct drum with 34 element sprag and spiral retaining ring, New GM output shaft with hardened output shaft splines. Heavy duty intermediate clutch snap ring.Custom intermediate snap ring retainer assembly for transbrake equipt units. Rollerized forward clutch hub,rollerized planetary gear set, and output shaft. Heat treated stator tube.New factory deep pan and high flow filter.
CLUTCH AND BAND UPGRADES
Maximum capacity clutch packs with extra clutches standard on all GMTH400 transmissions.Borg Warner "HIGH ENERGY" 6 clutch forward ,6 clutch direct, and 4 clutch intermediate clutch packs. New carbon fiber front and rear band.Updated forward ,intermediate and direct clutch 1 piece return spring assemblies.
HYDRAULIC UPGRADES
Increased line and lubrication pressure and volume.Modified converter charge circuit eliminates converter caused engine main thrust bearing problems and converter balloning problems. . Solid graphite sealing rings installed on the pump and center support. Our exclusive "DUAL SHUTTLE VALVE PRO TREE TRANSBRAKE".Instant apply and release and the fastest 2/3 shift ever available over all other designs.

UPGRADE PACKAGES
SUPER COMP DIRECT DRUM AND OVERSIZE SPRAG ASSEMBLY $399.00
This assembly is reccomended for power levels exceeding 800 hp/800 lbs ft.Most racers are aware of the limitations of a 34 element sprag.This custom drum assembly is fitted with oversize tool steel inner and outer sprag races ,and an oversize 36 element sprag assembly,Modified inner race distributes lube oil to the sprag assembly more efficiently. 
BILLET INPUT SHAFT/ INTERMEDIATE SHAFT/ CLUTCH HUB PACKAGE $499.00
This package is reccomended for most naturally aspirated ,nitrous,supercharged,and turbocharged applications up to 1400 hp/1400 lbs. ft.,and for all off road, baja,and pulling trucks.This package includes E4340 steel billet input shaft,intermediate shaft,and forward clutch hub.All products are manufactured in house on HAAS CNC equiptment.
