FORD C6 TRANSMISSIONS

FORD C6 GENERAL TRANSMISSION INFORMATION
The Ford C6 transmission was produced between the early 1970's and early 1990's and was mainly used as a heavy duty automatic transmission for cars,vans,pick ups and trucks.The standard gear ratios are 2.46:1 first gear,1.46:1 second gear, and 1:1 third gear.For a brutal increase in strength and off the line accelleration it can be ordered with our custom ratio 2.72:1/1.54:1 planetary gear set. It has proven itself to be a reliable performer on the street and dragstrip with the proper modifications.We are constantly refining the C6 to offer you a truly unique version of this heavy duty 3 speed automatic transmission.There are 4 types of cases for the Ford C6 transmission.The first type fits 289,302,351C,or 351W engines.The second type fits 351M,400,429 and 460 engines.The third type fits 332,352,390,406,427,and 428 engines.The fourth type fits diesel engines.The standard tailshaft length is 13.5",unless it is a four wheel drive application.When ordering be sure to specify the proper engine and extension housing type for your application.There is no core charge unless you require an "FE" style case.There is a $250.00 core charge that will be added to your purchase price if you require a "FE" style case.

COMPETITION   C6 TRANSMISSION

The COMPETITION C6 TRANSMISSION is built for heavy duty towing,street/strip and limited drag racing vehicles with engines producing up to 550 horsepower 500 foot pounds of torque.Each transmission is professionally assembled and updated to hi performance specifications and then given a thorough dyno test  to guarantee product performance.


COMPETITION COMPONENTS
Large intermediate servo assembly.4 pinion front and rear planetary carriers.CNC machined high ratio  boost valve.

CLUTCH AND BAND UPGRADES 
Forward and direct drums are modified for additional clutches.4 steel core forward clutches.4 direct,and 5 lo reverse clutches.Oversize red lined intermediate racing band.

HYDRAULIC UPGRADES
Increased line and lubrication pressures.Custom calibrated valve body and governer assembly.New factory pan and high flow filter.

OPTIONAL EQUIPTMENT

2.72 1ST GEAR/1.54 2ND GEAR WIDE RATIO PLANETARY GEAR SET.  $349.00
Changes the stock 2.40 1st gear/1.40 2nd gear to 2.72 ist gear  /1.54 2nd gear.This gear set is used to increase torque multiplication/rotating speed in the transmission in first and second gears. This provides a brutal increase in acceleration with heavy vehicles and numerically low final drive ratios(IE: 3.23, 3.42, 3.73).This kit also includes a lightweight lo drum ,rollerized output ring gear ,and rollerized front internal gear.

SUPER COMP C6 TRANSMISSION

The SUPER COMP TRANSMISSION is built for heavy duty towing,street/strip and limited drag racing vehicles with engines producing 800 plus horsepower and 700 plus  foot pounds of torque.Each transmission is professionally assembled and then given a thorough dyno test  to ensure flawless performance prior to shipping.


COMPETITION COMPONENTS 
2.72/1.54custom ratio planetary gearset."NEW FOR 2012" Torsional steel billet  input shaft.Oversize billet aluminum intermediate servo assembly.Steel billet 6 pinion front planetary carrier.Steel billet 6 pinion rear planetary carrier.New heavy duty sun shell and sun gear.Induction hardened forward drum snap ring land.Lightweight stamped steel low /reverse clutch drum with modified roller clutch.Hardened/modified low roller clutch inner race.Rollerized forward and direct drums.Rollerized rear parking pawl.Rollerized rear ring gear.Rollerized rear planetary carrier and sun shell.Rollerized front planetary carrier .Rollerized  hardened forward clutch hub flange.
