The main focus of this kit is to reduce clutch and band slippage common with the factory hydraulic calibration.This easy to install kit includes all the necessary parts to recalibrate the hydraulic circuitry of the GM700R4 transmission for high performance street and dragstrip usage.This is accomplished in many ways.New .500" TV boost valve,and .296" intermediate boost valves and a heavy duty pressure regulator spring significantly raise transmission mainline pressure to increase clutch and band apply pressures. A new AC/DELCO seperator plate is properly orificed to increase the flow of oil to the friction elements. Re-engineered springs for the accumulator valve,line bias,1/2 accumulator ,and 3/4 accumulator,and updated 1/2 and 3/4 accumulator pistons introduce a throttle sensitive accumulator and pressure rise system that meets the demands of high output engines.This reduces friction element failure and excessive heat build up during and after ratio changes.This kit allows the shifts to get shorter and firmer as the throttle is opened,resulting in clean ,positive gear changes at small throttle angles without the "bangs and clunks",and short firm shifts with larger throttle angles. A Corvette style intermediate servo improves shift quality by multiplying the clamping pressure applied to the 2/4 band for even greater improvements in shift quality and durabilty.This kit will retrofit all auxilary valve body GM7004R transmissions produced from 1987 to 1993 and includes all necessary gaskets and instructions.

A carefully selected valve body core is remanufactured and assembled with the components included in our SHIFT RECALIBRATION KIT #7R4SRK/A.
