Premium six friction direct housing specially prepared for transbrake applications. Includes 34 element sprag, heavy duty sprag outer race, retaining plate, spiralock, clutch piston w/seals, return springs, and spring retainer w/snap ring. Just add clutch pack and install. Great for competition applications with transbrake valve bodies behind engines producing up to 1200 hp and 750 lbs. ft. in vehicles weighing up to 3800 lbs.

A fully inspected, assembled, and tested six friction direct clutch housing with 34 element intermediate sprag assembly, heavy duty intermediate sprag outer race, new OEM retainer, spiral lock ring, heavy duty direct clutch piston w/lip seals, hi-rate direct clutch apply/release springs w/ retainer and snap ring. Housing is pre-drilled with .055" vent hole. Works with all TH400 Transbrake valve bodies. Drum is set up for six .077" thick steel plates and six .080" thick clutch plates. Recommended clutch pack clearance is .045" to .060". If necessary thicker or thinner steel plates may be used to maintain recommended clearance. The use of grooved friction plates is recommended to reduce parasitic power loss, improve transbrake release and 2-3 shift quality.
