CK Performance originally developed and manufactured this product in 2001 from E4340 steel billet blanks as a cost effective replacement for the failure prone factory stub shaft used in severe duty police and taxi applications. Since then, it has found its way into hundreds of police pursuit, taxi, and high performance vehicles. The component is now being manufactured from 300M steel billet blanks for a huge increase in strength over the original design, and as always is fully CNC machined and shaped in the U.S.A.
