This unique component allows the installation of OEM TH400 or 4L80E intermediate clutch and steel plates in the TH400 when an aftermarket direct clutch housing fitted with a 36 element intermediate sprag assembly is in use. Normally, this application requires the use of specialized intermediate clutch plates, modified OEM intermediate clutch steel plates and a modified OEM intermediate clutch backing plate. The installation of this component eliminates the issues encountered with non OEM components.
