2004R Competition Components

This is the CK Performance manufactured performance separator plate. It will retrofit all GM2004R model transmissions except for 1981 to early 1983 with hydraulic lock up control in the valve body. Revised circuitry and deleted passages improves shift quality and improve durability.

This Kolene processed pressure plate is a must for extreme duty 2004R applications. A thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and parallel decked pressure plate is treated to a proprietary nitrocarburized case hardening process and micro-polished finish. Nitrocarburization vastly increases the components flex resistance, fatigued  strength and wear resistance. Micro-polishing reduces "open" clutch pack drag increasing the transmissions operational efficiency.

This design virtually eliminates pinion gear thrust washer wear/failures due to its upgraded non rotating thrust washer design. This kit allows fully automatic operation of the torque converter clutch in 4th gear when retro-fitting a vehicle with a 2004R transmission, or in 1981-1990 2004R equipt GM vehicles that no longer use the factory ECM to control torque converter clutch strategy.

This upgraded pump rotor is fully CNC machined to exacting tolerances from heat treated steel billet blanks that will not fracture like the OEM design. The kit includes all new pump vanes, hardened pump vane rings, pump rotor guide, and specially calibrated pump slide springs which increase oil pressure and volume and reduce oil pressure drop on gear changes. Fits all 2004R transmissions. Made in the U.S.A.

This high quality precision part is CNC machined to exacting tolerances from heat treated steel billet material that will not fracture. Updates the stock 7 vane rotor to a 13 vane design for smoother pump output over an extended rpm range. Made in the U.S.A.

This heat treated replacement sun gear shell eliminates spline and fatigue failures common with all 2004R transmissions. It should be considered a must on all rebuilds.

Increased line pressure, servo piston apply ratio, and engine power output can quickly fail the OEM band anchor pin in short order resulting in slipping or loss of second gear. This upgraded component is fully CNC machined from heat treated steel billet material that will not fail when subjected to extreme loading conditions.
