The main focus of this kit is to reduce clutch and band slippage common with the factory hydraulic calibration.This easy to install kit includes all the necessary parts to re calibrate the hydraulic circuitry of the GM 2004R transmission for high performance street and dragstrip usage. New .500" throttle boost valve and pressure regulator spring significantly raise clutch and band apply pressures resulting in a huge increase in the transmission's available torque capacity. Re-engineered springs for the accumulator valve, line bias valve and 1-2 accumulator introduce a throttle sensitive accumulator and pressure rise system that meets the demands of high output engines. Includes the exclusive CK PERFORMANCE separator plate which increase the flow of oil to the friction elements, while deleting unnecessary circuits. This reduces friction element failure and excessive heat build up during and after ratio changes. This kit allows the shifts to get shorter and firmer as the throttle is opened, resulting in clean, positive gear changes at all throttle angles. Most kits do not have this feature engineered into them resulting in brutal part throttle shifts that beat and break internal components as well as generate many new drivability complaints.
